Independent Bookstore Day

More than 1600 bookstores nationwide will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day! All day we will have additional discounts, a raffle, and a Poetry corner where you can share and read poems by other patrons in store.

At 2pm, there will be a poetry workshop led by Kade Lukiyo. This 90 minute workshop is free, but space is limited so please RSVP using the form below. This workshop is age 16+ as some mature topics may be discussed.

Kade Lukiyo

Kade is an Inland Empire based painter and poet originally from the LA area. Although many of his early paintings were landscapes, most of his current works are abstract. He’s heavily influenced by his Black and Puerto Rican identities and the ancestral artwork of his peoples. His poetry is mostly free verse; combining metaphors and imagery with discussions of politics, racial and cultural identity, queer/trans identity, mental health, and the human experience."

Kade can be found on Instagram and Tik Tok @enigmas.art
